6th year final exam
Academic year 2025/26

1. Students who want to undergo the Clinical Clerkship on the 6th year of studies outside the departments of the University are obliged to submit the request form to be granted permission to complete the clerkship outside University. This concerns both the students who want to do the whole clerkship outside University and the students who want to do part of the clerkship in the University departments.

2. After submitting the above mentioned request, students download the Agreement on undergoing the Clinical Clerkship form from the Centre for Medical Education in English CM website (you need 2 copies of the Agreement form for each ‘receiving unit’ (medical institution that accepts a student for clerkship).

3. Students are obliged to submit the agreements signed by the person representing the ‘receiving unit’ to the Office of the Centre for Medical Education in English by 12th August 2025 (scans via e-mail AND hard copies in person/by post/by courier/via other person). Students also need to sign the agreement in the space designed for it.
Apart from the agreements, student are obliged to sign and submit the Statement.
Based on the above, the ‘receiving unit’ will receive a referral from the University if the selected department is approved by the authorities.
The agreements need to specify which course(s) the student will be undertaking in the given institution, and the period of the course duration (60hrs = 2 weeks; 120hrs = 4 weeks; 180hrs = 6 weeks, 240hrs = 8 weeks).

4. Not submitting the agreements by the deadline means the student will be undergoing the clinical clerkship in the departments of the University.

5. Students who want to do the selected specialty course in the departments of the University are obliged to submit the declaration on the choice of specialty to the Office of the Centre for Medical Education in English by 16th May 2025.

6. Students who will be doing part of the placements at the University will be obliged to stick to the schedule given by the University. No additional groups will be created outside the schedule. This concerns also students who for various reasons will fail to complete the placements outside University.

  • 1 September 2025 – 15 December 2025
  • Days free from classes: 11 November 2025
  • Christmas break: 16 December 2025 – 6 January 2026
  • 7 January 2026 – 28 April 2026
  • Days free from classes: 2-7 April 2026 (Easter break)
  • Theoretical final exam: 6 May 2026
  • Practical final exam: 8 May 2026


 Academic year 2024/25

1. Submit Clerkship Log and all original documents to the Office by April 28, 2025 (by 2 p.m.).
Ensure that all required fields are filled, and that the log is properly stamped and signed (including dates) in each line.

2. Verify Grades on USOSweb.
Check your USOSweb account to ensure that all grades are correctly recorded. If any grades are missing or incorrect, contact the Office (if given course was done outside Poland) or appropriate Department (if given course was done in one of the hospitals in Bydgoszcz)  immediately.

3. Sit the theoretical Exam.
Take the theoretical exam on May 5, 2025, unless you have applied for and received an exemption in advance.

4. Sit the practical Exam.
Attend the practical exam on May 7, 2025.

5. Check Final Exam Grade in USOSweb.
Verify that your final exam grade has been properly recorded in your USOSweb account.

6. Apply for the Title of „Lekarz” in USOSweb.
Go to the student section of USOSweb and submit your application for the title of „lekarz.” Monitor the status of your application to ensure it is approved by the vice-Dean.

7. Submit Documents to the Office.
Visit the Office with the following signed documents:

a. Annex No. 4 to the Order No. 141 of the Rector of NCU (dated 30.09.2022). (Include the date of your practical exam or a later date on the forms.)

b. Confirmation of payment for additional copies of the diploma (if applicable).

Note:

Free of Charge Package
Each student will receive the original diploma and diploma supplement in Polish, plus:

  1. 2 copies (ODPIS) of the diploma in Polish and 2 copies of the diploma supplement in Polish, or
  2. 1 copy of the diploma (ODPIS) in Polish and 1 copy of the diploma supplement in Polish, plus 1 copy of the diploma in English and 1 copy of the diploma supplement in English.

Additional copies of the diploma and diploma supplement cost PLN 20 each (paid to student’s individual bank account)

c. Annex No. 5 to the Order no. 141 of the Rector of NCU (dated 30.09.2022) if you are authorizing someone to collect your diploma on your behalf.
Note:
Diplomas cannot be sent by courier! They must be collected in person at the Office.

d. Medical Code of Ethics form.

e. Consent form for the use of your image by the University for promotional purposes.

f. Your student ID and hospital badge (or declarations stating they were lost, if applicable).

8. Fill the Clearance Form on USOSweb.
Log into USOSweb and complete the clearance form.

  • Missing Documents: Without all required documents, we cannot begin preparing your diploma.
  • Diploma Processing Time: The University has 30 days from the date your final grade is posted in USOSweb to issue your diploma (assuming all above mentioned steps were taken)

  • days free of classes: 1 and 11 November 2024,
  • Christmas break: 18 December 2024 – 6 January 2025.
  • 7 January 2025 – 25 April 2025,
  • days free of classes (Easter break): 18-22 April 2025,
  • theoretical examination: 5 May 2025,
  • practical examination: 7 May 2025.

The final examination dates for English Division students in the academic year 2023/2024 have been set to:

The exam will be held in a stationary mode. Students are asked to arrive 30 minutes before the beginning of the exam and bring an identity document (as per exam regulations below).
